Linden-Kildare Mobile Computing Cart Checkout Procedures
Teacher Check-Out Guidelines
There are 20 tablets/Chromebooks per cart. If you’re class is over this size, your students will need to double up or use another system already in the classroom.
Do not remove the power adapters from the cart. If you suspect a power adapter is not working, please report the cart number and slot number of the system not being charged in a work order.
If there are any technical issues that arise, please fill out a work order through School Tools with the cart number and system number.
It would be a very good idea to assign each student a number from the cart. There is a longer delay when a student logs on to a system for the first time. Using the same system each time will help mitigate this delay. There is a computer roll sheet available down below to help you in this matter.
Security
Keep the carts locked when the systems are not in use.
Return all systems to the cart at the end of each day for security and charging purposes.
Do not allow the systems to leave the classroom for which they were reserved. The staff member that reserved the cart is responsible for each tablet.
Allow sufficient time for the students to replace the tablets/Chromebooks before the bell rings. Make sure all systems and keyboards (if applicable) are accounted for before any student leaves your classroom.
